I was referred to Dr Primm by my dentist because the gum line on some of my teeth had receded to the point that grafts were needed to protect the roots. Overall, gum grafts we’re not fun, but that being said, Dr Primm and his team were fantastic throughout the whole process (two procedures six months apart, each requiring two follow-up visits). During my initial consultation, Dr Primm and his assistant were very thorough in their explanation of the treatment recommendations, and the how and why of it all. Shannon, the scheduler, was equally thorough in reviewing the cost and insurance estimates.the procedures went smoothly, with Dr Primm taking great care to communicate what was going on and to ensure I was comfortable all through it (I was IV sedated which made the experience much more pleasant). I received detailed instructions for aftercare and phone calls the next day to check on me. When I did have a small issue a few days after, I was able to call and they got me right in to check on things. Great communication from every member of his team, all along the way. Extremely Disappointed with Post-Surgical Care, Negligence, and Lack of Communication. I strongly advise others to avoid this facility. I am deeply disappointed and frustrated with the level of care and customer service provided by Dr. Primm and their staff. I underwent periodontal surgery here in the summer of 2024 and diligently attended my regular follow-up appointments every six months. During my check-up on October 1st 2025, I specifically expressed concern about swelling and discomfort around teeth #3 and #8. However, after the exam and cleaning, I was assured by both the hygienist and Dr. Primm that there were no issues and everything looked fine. Because the discomfort persisted, I sought a second opinion shortly after. To my shock, another doctor found severe inflammation and extensive bone loss in the exact same areas I had pointed out. The damage was so severe that both teeth #3 and #8 had to be extracted. What makes this worse is the complete lack of accountability. I contacted Dr. Primm’s office to ask how such advanced bone loss was completely missed during my routine exams and X-rays, and to request an explanation. First time visit! Leslie was awesome! Love her! She was very informative! Dr Primm was great! I felt I got a through exam with a plan! Front desk friendly! Shannon in scheduling gave me full information of my plan and cost! Thank you! Highly recommended 😃

Amazing staff and solutions - I started to think there was no Hope For my gums and the direction they were heading towards serious gum disease - but now, thanks to their help I’mon the way to turning things around, and I could not be happier!!! The hygienist there are the best, especially Miss Carrie. She is so thoughtful kind of patient and will ease anybody’s anxiety with every visit and every concern no matter how big or small. Thank you thank you to everyone at this amazing periodontist office!!

I could not say enough about Dr. Primm, Shannon, and his staff. The most amazing, kind, loving humans you will meet in the world of dentistry. I have severe dental anxiety, I have had two oral surgeries one went great and the other one didn’t. I let Dr. Primm know prior to my surgery during my consult and he reassured me I would be comfortable. I had a severe gum recession almost all the way down past my root. I just had my surgery yesterday on June 5th today is my first day of recovery and I have been messaging Dr. Primm back and forth and he has been answering my messages fairly quickly. I never had that experience with my other oral surgeons. I was so afraid I was going to be in and out during the procedure but as soon as he placed the iv I remember saying is this the sedation medication and he said yes it is going to make you real sleepy and I was out. I could not thank him enough for any other procedures I need I promise I will come to him and anyone else in the area should. He is worth the drive if you are far away from him. As a person that with terrible dental anxiety, I was even more nervous about going to a periodontist. I’ve been 3 times at this point and never once waited more than 5-10 minutes before being seen. All of the staff is excellent and Dr. Primm was great. He was gentle and took the time to explain everything. He also went with the easiest/least invasive treatment first instead of jumping straight to something major. My only complaint is that his office doesn’t double as general dentistry. Really can’t recommend him and his office enough.

From the first call to the end of my first visit, I experienced professionalism, courtesy, and warmth from the staff and dentist at Advanced Institute for Oral Health. Dr. Prim took the time to explain my exam and treatment plan and was responsive to my questions. And the office and environment were quite lovely. Great experience!

After having experienced horrible care from various local dentists and a periodontist over the past year, I was pleasantly surprised by my initial consultation with Advanced Institute for Oral Health. Dr. Primm and his staff were very professional, knowledgeable, and encouraging in the midst of my current dental needs. We discussed options and a plan of action so I can get things taken care of. It is such a relief to finally find a periodontal practice that actually is responsive and cares about giving great healthcare!
